EVENT BRIEF

 

We are delighted to confirm that the Inaugural UAE Netball Cup will be taking place from Sunday 15th June - Saturday 21st June 2025 inclusive. The event will be held at Al Nasr Sports Complex, Dubai and it is anticipated that this event will involve 6 participating countries.

 

The schedule is still subject to finalisation, however there will be 3 matches to be played on each of the six (6) days of competition – 18 matches in total. There is one rest day - Wednesday 18th June - where no matches will be played. On Sunday 15th, Monday 16th, Tuesday 17th & Thursday 18th matches will be played at 1:00PM, 3:30PM & 3:00PM. On Friday 20th, matches will be played at 12:00PM, 2:30PM & 5:00PM. On Saturday 21st, matches will be played at 11:00AM, 1:30PM & 4:00PM.

 

UAE Netball will be hosting this event, therefore recruitment of volunteers with specific expertise is being undertaken by the UAE Netball Events Group.

RECRUITMENT TIMELINE & PROCESSES

 

UAE Netball Events Group will appoint a Volunteer Lead to be the key point of contact pre-event and will also be in attendance for the full duration of the event. Due to cost and logistical implications, UAE Netball are looking to recruit, as far as possible, a consistent team of volunteers who are available for the full duration of the competition (Sunday to Saturday inclusive).

 

Applications will be taken from 16th May 2025 until the closing date of 23rd May 2025, 12pm GST. Applicants will then be notified of the outcome by the UAE Netball Events Group as soon as possible following the closing date for applications.

We are looking for volunteers to undertake the following roles (you will be asked to select preference of roles within the Google Form upon application):

 

• Event Stewards - Job Description here

• Field of Play Assistants  - Job Description here 

• Back of House Assistants - Job Description here

EXPECTATIONS

 

UAE Netball will be able to provide the following to volunteer workforce:

- Meal provided per day.

- Access to refillable water stations

- Volunteer t shirt/s will be provided. Additionally, volunteers are asked to wear black or navy trousers and training shoes.

 

Please note that no accommodation or travel expenses/arrangements can be made.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Volunteer workforce may be asked to join a pre-event Zoom meeting, a Pre Netball Cup warm up match and a site visit to the venue, dates and times are to be confirmed but reasonable notice will be given.
